Tribal Council
Hello Malaga and welcome to Tribal Council. For some of you this is your first visit so I will go over the procedure. Behind you are torches, please grab one, approach the flame, and light your torch. In this game fire represents life, and once your fire is out, as is your time in this game.
Now, let's get to the business portion of Tribal Council. We will begin with a question period, where I will ask each of you questions. From now until the deadline you are responsible for answering your questions and posting your votes in the thread in you confessional titled "Voting History". You will vote by modifying the following parchment.
Using editing software you must write the name of who you are voting out on the parchment. You must then upload it (imgur.com is suggested as your ideal uploader) and post it in your "Voting History" thread. If you have any problems with this, please come to me for assistance.
If you fail to do vote before the deadline, you will receive a self-vote, and if you self-vote twice in a row you will be removed from the game. More rules regarding Tribal Council can be found in the thread titled Tribal Council Rules.
Now let's get to the questions.
John - Its fairly obvious that you're on the outs of this tribe. You're the only original Malaga and also the only person to even attempt the challenge. How certain are you that you'll be the one voted out this round? Is there anything you can do to save yourself, or is it a done deal?
Elyse - You made a big statement with the use of the Fog Horn. Was it your goal to alienate John on this tribe and then throw the challenge to take him out? If so, why? Are you worried there may be repercussions from his potential allies, how will you prevent these?
Alec, Brenda, Morgan, Pete and Sandra - Throwing a challenge is a bold play, especially giving the entire other tribe access to the Treasure Trove. Is taking out John worth the risk of a member of the opposing tribe getting a power? Are you worried that drawing such a firm line in the sand may create conflict with the opposing tribe at later stages in the game?
Everyone - Shane quit the game mid-challenge and your numbers advantage was wiped. How does Shane's departure change the dynamics of this tribe? Will things be calmer now that such a chaotic force is out of the game, or was he simply a vocal distraction from the chaos being caused by other?
The voting deadline is Thursday, January 15th at 10:00pm EST. If you do not vote by this time, you will receive a self-vote. As I have previously stated voting is to be done in your confessional, in a thread titled "Voting History", that has already been created.
Good luck!

Well this is my first tribal, I will be interested to see how this tribal works out. Throwing a challenge is dangerous. We don't know who's with who, or really anything we were just thrown back together yesterday. I don't think anything in this game is really ever black and white. I think it would be normal to be worried what the prize the other tribe got may be. As for Shane quitting I don't really give a crap, he threw us all under the bus, and I have a feeling if he stayed he would do it again in a heartbeat...So that.

Thank you for pointing that out Jeff! In this game, I feel like there's always something you can do to save yourself...but the odds are stacked against me, and the head honchos have made it pretty clear I'm in trouble tonight!

Shane was a dick and I'm glad he's gone.

Is taking out John worth the risk of a member of the opposing tribe getting a power? Are you worried that drawing such a firm line in the sand may create conflict with the opposing tribe at later stages in the game? With regards to the treasure trove, it’s not like they are guaranteed a power - it can't be too significant a factor in any decisions, because if you try to manage too many things, especially things that aren't necessarily in your control, you’ll drive yourself nuts. And you’ll always be taking a risk when you voluntarily go to tribal council, particularly if it’s to hurt the other tribe - but there’s always distance between people of different tribes, One World twist notwithstanding, and any line drawn tonight is simply another on the pile. Everyone - Shane quit the game mid-challenge and your numbers advantage was wiped. How does Shane's departure change the dynamics of this tribe? Will things be calmer now that such a chaotic force is out of the game, or was he simply a vocal distraction from the chaos being caused by other?Wait, Shane was chaotic? Who knew. Shane’s a good guy, and I’m gonna miss chatting with him. At any rate, he was going inactive anyway, so it doesn’t affect interpersonal stuff too much. But its a little harrowing, at least in my paranoid mind haha, knowing that the tribe doesn’t have that easy boot anymore.

Those clues are just getting tougher and tougher so they're not guaranteed that power, so it doesn't concern me too much. As far as lines being drawn, I think lines have been drawn, this just solidifies it.

I'm gonna miss Shane. I'm sure someone will step up and cause some chaos, though. It isn't Survivor without a little chaos.

Like others have stated, the clues for the first clue to the idol are probably super hard and somewhat cryptic. I think gaining a number advantage with Shane leaving is the absolute best move for our tribe since the other seems united. Lines have been drawn already and I'm proud of us all for sticking it out with each other. I miss Shane <3 he was so fun to have around. I think this tribal council would make up for it. Hope you have a blast, Shane! Muah.

I'm glad you noticed, Jeff! That was exactly my goal. I saw the opportunity to take out someone that I see as a threat to my original tribe, not to mention it's nice to have the the original Loa Seki tribe reunited, with the exception of Cao Boi. I'm not worried about any repercussions. In this game, you have to take risks in order to get rewards, so I did what I had to do. I mean, of course I'll probably do a little butt kissing to save face for the future, but I'm not too concerned about it. Not to mention the fact that it doesn't look like they have any power at the moment. I was sad to see Shane go! He definitely brought an entertainment value to this tribe, and with him gone, we'll probably lack in that department for quite a while. He brought such a presence to this tribe that will certainly be missed. I guess you could say that things might be calmer now with him gone, but that's what you gotta love about him. I don't believe that he was a vocal distraction at all. I really enjoyed his company, and I am very upset that he is unable to stick around and continue on in this game with us. He was always a pleasure to talk to, and I wish him well.
