So, Shii Ann left unanimously at the last tribal council. She was pretty useless, both socially and in challenges, so admittedly I'm not too fussed that she's gone. But still, I'm not really sure if that was the vote I wanted. I think if I was able to save Shii Ann and vote out Vytas, I'd be set up better in the tribe. But I made Jefra promise that if we voted out Shii Ann last round, she'd vote with the girls for a guy the next round. So I hoped she'd stick to her word!
Overall, I think I'm in an okay spot on Malaga. I don't think I'm running the tribe, or at least I'm not perceived that way, which is probably not a bad thing. I feel I have Jaclyn/Courtney wrapped around my finger, cause I have an alliance with them, and we were talking about how we're in the same boat in the first round, when we figured the guys were shady for keeping Vytas in. But then, I have an alliance with John/Bobby/Jefra, which I feel I'm the bottom of, cause I was the last person to be added to it.
I'm playing both sides, I just hope I don't get caught and one alliance doesn't find out I'm apart of the other. Otherwise it could be game over for me. As it stands, I don't think I'm in danger of going anywhere at all. The only two people on the tribe I'm not aligned with are Vytas and Cochran, so in a perfect world, they'd be the next two to leave, and I'd not have to pick a side. But I do feel more secure with Jaclyn/Courtney, cause I feel they trust me more in the first place, maybe could add Jefra to make a girls alliance.
Jefra/Courtney don't really seem to get along, and that concerns me. I love Courtney, she's so in character! Really hilarious, snarky, and bitchy. <3 I definitely want to work with her, and Jaclyn's a lot of fun and really easy to talk with as well. It sucks that there's kind of a gender divide going on in the first round, but even if we do try and pretend that we're all one tribe and it was a unanimous 8-1 vote, it was kind of clear that the guys got their way and the girls just caved to go with the majority.
We ended up losing the challenge again, which sucked, cause now we're down by two numbers. Such a terrible start! We were pretty close this time though, but Courtney/Jefra made some mistakes which cost us. Vytas only did three dives though, and all were pretty early, so he didn't have to go deep, whereas me/Jaclyn/Bobby/Courtney/John stayed up for hours finishing it off. Vytas and Courtney were the two names who came up on the chopping block, I knew I wanted Vytas gone, just had to make sure I got my way, without making it clear I really cared one way or another.
Courtney apparently doesn't speak much with the guys, plus Jefra doesn't care for her, not to mention she screwed up the challenge, along with the fact she targeted Vytas in the first round and didn't get her way, so I think she's rubbed people the wrong way. But I know if I save her, she'll be completely loyal to me and Jaclyn. The fact that she's at least around for hours in these challenges, unlike Vytas, was my main case to keep her, cause we've lost two already! We can't lose anymore, so the vote was based on challenge strength.
There's a lot of drama on Loa Seki, Shane is apparently outing all the alliances publicly. Cao Boi almost quit because of all that's going on, but ended up staying. I had a long talk to him about it, he thanked me for my kind words, so I think he's a potential ally come swap time. I also get along with Alec, but we don't really share much information. I talk quite a bit with Morgan and she tells me a lot, apparently the two alliances over there were Coach/Cao/Morgan/Shane/Alec and Shane/Elyse/Brenda/Morgan/Alec.
So it seems Pete/Sandra are on the outs there, not being in either alliance. Either way, it's pretty comforting to know that they're a completely dysfunctional tribe. They haven't even gone to tribal council yet! Come swap time, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility to get them to turn on each other. I'd hopefully get at least one or two of Morgan/Cao/Alec with me, but I don't want Malaga to know that I'm speaking with them, especially when I'm preaching at tribal council that we shouldn't communicate with them. Eep!
In the end, Jefra stuck true to her promise, and pushed the guys to vote Vytas. I'm glad it was she who made the big push, so the blood's on her hands and I didn't come across as shady, when I'm supposed to not really care about who leaves between Vytas/Courtney. But the guys ended up agreeing, except Cochran, who's seemingly suspicious that there's an alliance he's not apart of, plus I'm pretty sure told Vytas he's on the chopping block, cause he's desperately campaigning to everyone.
I always suspected that Cochran/Vytas were a duo, cause Cochran was adamant about saving Vytas and voting out Shii Ann in the first round, it seemed strange. But it's becoming more clear this round. Jefra's apparently saying that the girls are sticking together to take out Vytas, which is stupid, but now Vytas is using that to try and get the guys to side with him. I hope it doesn't work, but pretty sure Vytas will leave 7-1, with his vote going to Courtney, or maybe 6-2, if Cochran is stupid! Either way, I always wanted Cochran gone next, so it should be easy to get my way.
